PhD student
Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany
I am a second-year PhD student in Biology at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany. I completed my Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology and Master's degree in Biochemistry at University of Tehran in Iran.
My research focuses on personalized oncology, with a particular emphasis on miniaturization of drug sensitivity and resistance tests for solid types of tumors. I am passionate about developing novel personalized approaches to improve cancer treatments and patient outcomes.
As part of my PhD research, I have been working on optimizing Droplet Microarray platform (DMA) that allows for high-throughput drug testing on patient-derived tumor samples. This technology has the potential to enhance drug sensitivity tests by reducing the required cell number and scaling down the tests to nanoliter size.
