Robert Rauschen obtained his Bachelor’s degree in 2018 from RWTH Aachen University studying gold nanoparticle synthesis. After research internships in Cologne (rotational spectroscopy on astrochemically relevant molecules) and Heidelberg (simulation of autocatalytic reaction networks), he returned to RWTH Aachen in 2019 to complete his Master’s degree, analysing ion migration in perovskites. Combining his skills in programming and chemistry, Robert began a PhD in 2021 with Prof. Lee Cronin at the University of Glasgow and is currently harnessing the power of digital chemistry and automation for discovery-oriented synthesis projects.
