LIAO Junchen received her bachelor's degree in Materials Science and engineering from Southern university of science and technology (SUSTech) in 2018. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, City University of Hong Kong. She has an interdisciplinary background in material engineering and biomedical science. Currently, her research interests are focused on microfluidics, cancer research, and flexible hydrogel electronics. She has published 5 papers and 1 patent and has been awarded the outstanding academic performance award among the research degree students. She also received HK Tech 300 Seed Fund based on her patent work. Due to her excellent academic performance, she was invited to join the global young scientist summit in 2021.
