Postdoctoral researcher
Oslo University Hospital, Norway
I completed my BS in Medical Laboratory Sciences in 2008 and worked as Clinical Laboratory Technician from 2008 to 2014. I concurrently completed my MSc in Clinical Laboratory Sciences with a focus on Clinical Microbiology in 2012. In 2014 I received a scholarship for a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the American University of Beirut and graduated in 2020. The focus of my dissertation was cancer immunotherapies; specifically, studying a triple combination immunotherapy to overcome resistance in a melanoma mouse model. In 2021, I started in my current postdoctoral researcher position at Oslo University Hospital. My main project is about identifying synergizing drug combinations to overcome drug resistance in breast cancer, and is part of a multinational consortium called RESCUER. I also work on separate projects including triple combination screenings, pancreatic cancer drug screening, and immuno-oncology co-cultures. My first and foremost research interest is translational cancer research and precision medicine.
