I am a final year PhD student at Mimetas in the Netherlands and I am affiliated to the VUmc in Amsterdam under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Helga. E. de Vries. I develop in vitro models of the human blood-brain barrier (BBB) and the neurovascular unit (NVU) in the Mimetas OrganoPlate, which is a high-throughput microfluidic platform in the format of a 384 well-plate with 40-96 independent microfluidic chips. My research focuses mainly on changes in the BBB and NVU function under neuroinflammatroy diseases of the central nervous system. I am part of a Marie Curie ITN, ENTRAIN since 2019.
