David is the Senior Director of Immunotherapy at Shoreline Biosciences where he leads a team developing iPSC derived macrophage and NK cell therapies. Originally from the UK, David obtained his Bachelor's degree at Newcastle University and PhD at the University of Glasgow. He joined The Scripps Research Institute, California, in 2014 where he developed a switchable CAR-T cell therapy that is now in phase 1 clinical trials. He has since held several Biotech positions focusing on immune drug development.
This talk will provide an overview of immune cell therapy in oncology focusing on the successes, limitations and future directions to make these drugs more effective, safe and accessible.
